Making a difference by supporting underprivileged students across the globe.

Who we are
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization and our vision is to give these students the opportunity to obtain an education that would enable them to achieve a better future. We strive to do this by providing a comprehensive approach to an attempt to change the trajectory of lives for poor children/students, with emphasis on longitudinal support.
We collaborate with Catholic Sisters in each region, who have direct contact with the students. They will help us monitor and track the students’ progress to meet our goals.
Our values
At Purple Ink, everything we do is grounded in three core values: Inclusion, Integrity, and Passion.
We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, which is why we work to create opportunities for students who may otherwise be left behind. We approach our work with honesty and care, ensuring the support we provide truly reaches the students who need it. Above all, our passion for education and for helping young people succeed is what drives our mission forward every day.

Our Story
Back in the 90's while still in his 20's, our Founder, Phong Nguyen visited Vietnam for the first time since leaving the country as a child. He was deeply moved by images of young children working in the streets as lottery ticket sellers, shoe-shine boys, or doing odd jobs instead of going to school.
By happenstance, he was introduced to a group of Catholic Sisters who were working with these street children to provide them with free meals and a safe environment. Phong sent back his own money and solicited funds from others to provide the financial support to their cause.
Phong continued his work with Catholic Sisters across the region for the next 24 years and gradually increase the amount of funding and scope of his support. His generosity has allowed underprivileged children to receive financial assistance from kindergarten to graduating from college.
His philosophy has always been to help one child at a time and giving that child the opportunity to obtain an education that will allow him/her to support themselves and others. Along the way, he has provided funds to build schools, dormitory for girls, nutrition programs for the children and salary to pay the teachers.
Purple Ink Was Created
In 2023, Purple Ink Charity was found to continue Phong's vision and work by allowing a larger number of people to participate. The members of Purple Ink are as passionate about carrying out the charitable work to as stated in our Mission statement. We hope that you will join us in making an impact in people lives by providing underprivileged people with opportunities to obtain an education that will significantly improve their future.
